The itinerary of the “GrandTour LIFE IS NOW” by CLAUDIO BAGLIONI – the live musical project that represents the culmination of the celebrations for the 40th anniversary of the album “LIFE IS NOW, THE DREAM IS ALWAYS” – is completed with the announcement of two evocative stops at the Teatro del Perdono in L’AQUILA on August 30 and at the Trentino Music Arena in TRENTO on September 2.

The Teatro del Perdono, in front of the Basilica of Santa Maria di Collemaggio, is the heart of the Perdonanza Celestiniana of L'Aquila, declared a UNESCO Intangible Cultural Heritage of Humanity in 2019. At the Trentino Music Arena, a stage immersed in nature is surrounded by the majestic Trentino mountains, creating a unique and spectacular setting.

From late June to mid-September 2026, the “GrandTour LIFE IS NOW” will take place in 40 enchanting locations, a symbolic number celebrating the 40th anniversary of the best-selling album in the history of Italian music, in the most suggestive outdoor settings of the beautiful country. An important return, 15 years after Baglioni's last tour in beautiful outdoor Italian locations.

This journey could only start in an iconic place like Piazza San Marco in Venice, at the opening of the prestigious Festival della Bellezza, marking a historic debut for the Artist. The route will then follow paths of great cultural interest and historical, archaeological, artistic, and landscape value, inviting the audience to become protagonists of a repeatable journey through beauty, the magic of music, and the force of timeless emotions.

A unique experience, whose vision recalls the spirit of the Grand Tour, the long educational and formative journeys that, starting from the 18th century, artists, intellectuals, and young European aristocrats undertook to enhance their knowledge of art, culture, and the beauty of the continent, with Italy as the privileged or often conclusive destination. The art cities scattered throughout the peninsula became essential stops to understand the roots of European civilization and be inspired by its greatness.

Piazza San Carlo in Turin is the wonderful final destination of the “GrandTour”: the historical and social heart of the Piedmont capital will host the closing concert at the end of the journey through the most representative places of Italy's cultural heritage.

Just as the Grand Tour profoundly transformed those who undertook it, these concerts will write indelible pages for the Artist, who will share his story through music on stages set in the wonder of these places, and for those who attend, sharing those unique moments capable of uniting people and creating unforgettable memories.

In this “GrandTour,” Claudio Baglioni – accompanied by a full band of 20 musicians and backing vocalists who reunited in the studio to record the new edition of “LIFE IS NOW, THE DREAM IS ALWAYS” – will perform the album in its entirety for the first time, along with renditions of his greatest hits that have punctuated his 60-year career, a cornerstone of Italian popular culture.

The “GrandTour” debuted on September 27, 2025, with the absolute national preview in Lampedusa, at the Comunale Stadium of the Sicilian island, a special and exclusive event in a location of essential value in Baglioni's life and career, symbolically marking the beginning of a journey that started from that borderland which is the southernmost point of Italy.

The extraordinary live experience of the “GrandTour LIFE IS NOW” is the culmination of initiatives celebrating Claudio Baglioni and the legendary 40th anniversary of “LIFE IS NOW, THE DREAM IS ALWAYS,” which, released on June 8, 1985, marked an era of music and culture, embodying the days and hopes of the 1980s. Its unmatched success continues to make it the best-selling album of all time in our country. A unique piece in the history of Italian music not only in terms of sales records – 4.5 million physical copies – but also in terms of number of weeks on the charts, with 27 consecutive weeks at the top and over a year in the top positions.

SONY MUSIC ITALY has launched a unique recording project, available from June 6 – in double vinyl in a gatefold package and four different formats, on CD and in digital with Dolby Atmos – a remake of “LIFE IS NOW, THE DREAM IS ALWAYS” (https://bio.to/lavitaeadesso) that reinterprets, with contemporary sounds and styles, eleven pieces without betraying their original essence and artistic meaning. Each track has been re-recorded and sung live in the studio, with renewed arrangements and the simultaneous presence of all musicians and singers in the room, creating a direct narrative thread between the project of the past and today’s idea.

This new edition has been produced by Claudio Baglioni along with a group of 20 musicians and singers at the Forum Studios in Rome. The album is available in double vinyl in the following four formats and on CD:
- Double black LP (180 gr) numbered with a 16-page booklet exclusive to Sony Music Store
- Double black LP (180 gr) with a booklet included in the super deluxe box set “LIFE IS NOW, THE DREAM IS ALWAYS” published by Edizioni Curci in a limited edition (1000 copies)
- Double bordeaux LP (140 gr) with a 16-page booklet
- Double green LP (140 gr) with a 16-page booklet
- CD with a 20-page booklet

The tracklist of the recording project consists of the 10 tracks from the 1985 album and the unreleased song “THE DREAM IS ALWAYS,” which is not only a subtitle but also represents in its full text, which was later set to music, the universal message that dreams never die. The decision to create the piece with a symphonic orchestra – the Italian Film Orchestra – and a choral group – the Giuseppe Verdi Choir – aims to give it a classic touch in an anthem to ideals, hopes, and the future, further valuing its meaning and keeping its essence alive.

The cover and booklets of this recording project trace the narrative connecting past, present, and future, through the concept and photos taken in the studio during the album’s recordings by the internationally renowned reporter, portraitist, photographer, and art director TONI THORIMBERT, who also signed the iconic cover and the photographic collection of the 1985 release.

This recording work is complemented by the super deluxe box set “LIFE IS NOW, THE DREAM IS ALWAYS” (https://www.edizionicurci.it/lvea), designed and created by EDIZIONI CURCI – in a limited edition of one thousand numbered copies – available for order in online stores, bookstores, and music and record retailers.

The box set includes three special contents, starting with the artist book by EMILIANO PONZI, one of the leading contemporary visual artists in Italy: a refined coffee table book, large format (31.5x31.5 cm), in which Ponzi's illustrations capture, interpret, and redesign the themes and ideas of the songs from “LIFE IS NOW” transforming Baglioni's lyrics into images of equally extraordinary intensity. Each illustration is an invitation to rediscover the spirit of the album that, by intersecting the dreams of Italy in the 1980s, reaches our days with the same and intact ability to still speak to everyone's heart.

A collector’s item in luxury edition, where the figures by Emiliano Ponzi are paired with phrases extracted from the compositions in a harmonious emotional flow. The creation of instant paintings that narrate relationships, feelings, gestures, and everyday life events, balancing between desires and memories.

During the “GrandTour LIFE IS NOW,” Ponzi's illustrations come to life through evocative images flowing against the backdrop of the scene. A refined dialogue of colors, lights, and moving graphics enhances the symbolic and poetic strength of the unforgettable songs of the Artist, and the sequence of illustrations creates unique emotional landscapes.

The box set also includes the version of the black double vinyl (180 gr), complete with a booklet, of “LIFE IS NOW, THE DREAM IS ALWAYS” in the new edition with which Sony Music Italy celebrates the 40 years of this album.

Enriching the publishing project is an author postcard, signed by Claudio Baglioni, where Emiliano Ponzi's strokes intertwine with the songwriter's handwritten signature, symbolically merging the two artists and their art, united in a message of greeting and gratitude toward the listening audience.
