"Arte e Creatività al Femminile", la mostra dello Studio Cico arriva a Lugano

Cico Gallery, in via Cassia, from September 16th to 22nd, 2024 will fly to Switzerland, in Lugano, where the collective exhibition "Art and Creativity in the Feminine" will be held, at the historic Monumental Complex of San Rocco, in Piazza San Rocco.

This important exhibition, curated with great attention to the contemporary artistic panorama, will offer a privileged showcase to artists from different disciplines, united by the common thread of creativity in the feminine. The event aims to explore and celebrate the fundamental role of women in the world of contemporary art, offering an exhibition space where the works can interact with each other and with the public in a cultural context rich in history and suggestion.

The exhibition will feature the participation of artists who will exhibit works created through a variety of techniques, from oil to watercolor, from graphite to mixed techniques, and even digital works and installations. The plurality of artistic expressions will offer visitors a deep and articulated view of contemporary art, enriched by the sensitivity and unique touch of women artists. Various types of arts and works will be presented: from painting, to photography, to literature. The participating artists for painting are Argiroffo, Besia, Binda, Bisozzi, Collura, Cotellessa, Gandini, Leandro, Ogliari, Pedruzzi, Petrucci, Scandamarro, Uribe, Virgili.

For photography: Bosco, De Giuli, Franceschini, Manzolini, Mitrovic, Nicoletti, Pedroni.
For literature: Binda, Ciappina, Collura, Delle Monache, Migliore with Avellino and Gandini.

An event that celebrates female art, involving artists in various expressive fields and highlighting the creativity of women. To embellish the opening, scheduled for September 16, 2024, will be the presence of the well-known Art Critic Serena Caleca, who will offer a critical and curatorial contribution during the event. The staff of the CiCo Studio Gallery will also be available to accompany visitors on the exhibition tour.

Exhibition and Conference Project: "Art and Creativity in the Feminine"
This project stems from the desire to narrate the incredible strength and potential of women through Art. Throughout the centuries, in art, women have been represented in countless versions: Madonnas, Venuses, Goddesses, or ballerinas. The History of Art has given us artists like Artemisia Gentileschi and Yayoi Kusama, and in many areas, from science to politics, women have had a crucial role in history. In this troubled historical period of ours, one of the most discussed topics is precisely the role of women. This exhibition aims to deepen this theme through Art, an intimate dialogue between the creator and the viewer. Through this secret dialogue, art will tell, move, and testify that Art is a caress to the heart, and everyone needs it, men and women.

On the occasion of the exhibition "Art and Creativity in the Feminine," a series of meetings and conferences entitled will be held from September 16th to 22nd, 2024 at the Cloister of the Church of San Rocco in Lugano. The events will take place every day from 5:30 pm to 7:30 pm.

MEETINGS SCHEDULE

Monday, September 16: Inauguration of the exhibition, at 4:00 pm, with a tasting of local wine. The vernissage, moderated by Yvonne M. Teresa Gandini, Cinzia Cotellessa, and Elvira Collura, with a critical intervention by Serena Caleca, president of the Modern Art Academy AIAM. Theme: "Women in painting", September 16, 2024, at 4:00 pm, conducted by the associations Ciao Table and Euterpe.

Tuesday, September 17: Round table moderated by the same curators of the event.

Wednesday, September 18: Presentation of the book "I Wanted to Separate" by Gianna Binda, with a conversation between the author and Vincenzo Guarracino.

Thursday, September 19: Presentation of Rivelismo, an artistic movement illustrated by Yvonne M. Teresa Gandini and Silvano Ottaviani, with poems and images by Migliore and Gandini, commented on by Gennaro Avellino.

Friday, September 20: Stories of women, told by Enzo Delle Monache, with the participation of psychologist and psychotherapist Giampiero Ciappina.

Saturday, September 21: Conference by Elvira Collura, child neuropsychiatrist, on the theme "Art as a form of therapy", with particular attention to adolescence.

Sunday, September 22: Presentation of the book "Adolescence between fear and recklessness" at 4:00 pm. Round table on "Women in photography" with Simona De Giuli, architect. Finissage with the conclusion of the event curated by Yvonne M. Teresa Gandini, Cinzia Cotellessa, and Elvira Collura, conducted by the associations Ciao Table and Euterpe.
