"Canzoni per la libertà" - Traindeville live concert per gli 80 anni dalla Liberazione

The Municipality of Castiglione in Teverina, on the occasion of the 80th anniversary of the Liberation, is organizing, in collaboration with Tuscia in Jazz for ALS and Tusciaweb, the concert “Songs for Freedom” with Traindeville.

Ludovica Valori on vocals, accordion, and trombone, and Paolo Camerini on double bass, will present to the public a repertoire specifically chosen to celebrate the eightieth anniversary of the Liberation from Nazifascism.

The group, active since 2014, offers a colorful journey through traditional music, from indie folk to the Balkans, from Rome to Latin America, passing through klezmer, on the wings of rhythm and playfulness. They have traveled through the streets of Italy, the USA, Germany, Poland, and India, spreading joy and participation everywhere and organizing music workshops with children from orphanages and Indian schools.

Their commitment to social issues led them to be guests at the official Ceremony for the 2020 Holocaust Remembrance Day at the Quirinale, where their reinterpretations of klezmer and Yiddish songs were greatly appreciated by the President of the Republic Sergio Mattarella. On the occasion of the 2022 Holocaust Remembrance Day, the video clip of Ludovica Valori's song “Roma città Persa” performed by the duo in a new version was released exclusively on Repubblica Roma and was presented with a mini live broadcast on TV2000.

With several albums and video clips to their credit, their most recent release is the album “Racconti Romani”, a tribute to Roman song that also includes original tracks and an ironic reinterpretation of the famous song by American singer-songwriter Woody Guthrie, “This Land Is Your Land”, transformed into “E' la mia Roma”.
