FESTA D’IRLANDA
Food and wine
Folklore
Slow Music ETS, Barley Arts, and Buono – Food Events in collaboration with the Municipality of Cinisello Balsamo present the Festa d’Irlanda, a grand celebration in full Irish style – free admission – to celebrate the land of St. Patrick, which from Friday, March 13 to Sunday, March 15, 2026, will animate Piazza Gramsci in the historic center of Cinisello Balsamo (Milan).
Food will be one of the main highlights of the event, offering a rich and convivial selection inspired by the spirit of Irish pubs and large folk festivals. A menu powered by STREEAT® Food Truck Festival has been designed to be shared, informal, and generous, where the great classics of international street food meet intense flavors and hearty dishes, perfect to accompany with a good beer. From the ever-hot grill – featuring barbecued ribs, pork knuckles, and mixed grill – to the must-haves of pub-style evenings like fish & chips, hamburgers (including Irish Angus), and smoked hot dogs, all served with generous portions of fries. To complete the experience, there will also be fish options like oven-baked salmon with honey and traditional desserts reminiscent of home flavors, such as apple fritters and cheesecake.
This menu is designed for togetherness, toasting, and experiencing the festival in a fully Irish style: simple, cheerful, and without formality. The kitchens will be open on Friday from 6 PM to midnight, Saturday from 11:30 AM to 12:30 AM, and Sunday from 11:30 AM to 11:30 PM.
The Bottega di Lugh will enliven the entire weekend with a rich program of activities dedicated to the imagery and traditions of the Celtic world: tales and animated stories inspired by oral tradition, weaving workshops, and a display of historical costumes accompanied by interactive lectures. It will be a true journey through time, aimed at engaging both young and old, transforming each day into an experience of discovery, sharing, and conviviality.
The celebration will be rhythmically brought to life by the Celtic Roses, who will present an exciting show of traditional Irish dances, along with free dance workshops open to everyone, allowing participants to experience the energy and vitality of these ancient choreographies firsthand. The Ross Arpa Trio Folk will guide the audience in discovering one of the signature instruments of Celtic tradition, with unmissable workshops dedicated to the harp.
The celebration continues into the evening hours with a rich calendar of live music: from Uncle Bard & the Dirty Bastards, who blend Celtic folk and traditional Irish music in a captivating show, to PoguestrA, an international music collective dedicated to the legendary Pogues. Completing the lineup are The Strawboys and Celtic Flag, promising nights filled with music, dancing, and sharing.
There’s no need to go to Dublin: Festa d’Irlanda awaits you in Cinisello Balsamo for a whole weekend dedicated to St. Patrick, music, stories, and a culture made of encounters, traditions, and a community spirit rooted in the soul of Ireland.
