Metti una sera e Taranto - La leggenda di Falanto

The myth and origins, Falanto and that Taranto which he will only find thanks to his wife Etra’s eyes.

There is all this and much more in the comic book "Put, una sera e Taranto" (published by Print Me) with texts by Elio Michelotti and drawings by Giuseppe Sansone and that will be presented to the public on July 29, 2024, at 20.00, in the Castle Muscettola of Leporano.

"Put, one evening and Taranto" offers a new perspective on the myth of Falanto and the foundation of Taranto, weaving the stories of a history-thirsty youth, The memories of the old and the misadventures of a clumsy thief. Many themes are explored in this graphic novel, such as the ever-present dimension of myth, which helps each one to interpret himself and the surrounding reality, the recovery of the roots of their city, and the valorization and conservation of the artistic heritage and the territory we live in.

The event will be attended by the mayor of Leporano, Vincenzo Damiano, and the Councillor for Culture, Iolanda Lotta, the mayor of Taranto, Rinaldo Melucci, and the Councillor for Culture Angelica Lussoso.
Will also be present the president of the City Council of Taranto, Piero Bitetti and regional councillor Enzo Di Gregorio.

During the evening, authors Elio Michelotti and Giuseppe Sansone will dialogue with the IC leader "Salvemini" of Taranto, Margherita Panico, and with students of the V Ottica (a.s. 2024/25) of the IISS "Liside" of Taranto.

The presentation will be enriched by a contemporary dance show of the Dance Company Euthopia by Gilda Cesario, entitled "Etra, Falanto: un amore di mito", which will offer an artistic and engaging interpretation of this story from the millennial but always exciting history.
