After the grand piano celebration "Suona con noi," with over 200 concerts in Ceglie Messapica on August 2nd and 3rd, PianoLab doubles the offering and presents the second edition of "AL PIANO": twenty events spread across the historic center of Martina Franca, featuring great concert pianists and young talents from all over Italy.
💫 New in 2025: the piano meets the voice.
Two days dedicated to the piano-voice duo, marking the first step of a three-year project exploring the chamber music repertoire (in 2026 it will be piano and strings, 2027 piano and winds). A new journey designed to showcase the piano not only as a solo instrument but as the heart of musical dialogue.
The concerts will be held in three iconic locations in the city: the Basilica of San Martino, the Cloister of San Domenico, and the hall of the Società Operaia, transformed for the occasion into small listening theaters.
🎶 The 2025 musical program includes:
Carlo Boccadoro, in a double solo piano recital dedicated to American minimalism (Philip Glass) and Italian (Einaudi, Del Corno).
Gianluca Bergamasco, winner of the 2024 Premio Venezia.
Federico Gad Crema, among the most established pianists of his generation.
The talented pianists Maddalena Giacopuzzi, Maddalena Santi, and Clarissa Carafa, who will also perform world premieres commissioned by the festival from young composers like Sara Zamboni, Paolo Catenaccio, and Francesco Raspaolo.
Tenor Blagoj Nacoski (Teatro alla Scala, Metropolitan Opera of New York), in a duo with Andrea Scalzo, a rising star of Italian pianism.
The duo Daiane Scales & Luca Cozzi, in a concert-show with a Central European flavor.
The poetic-musical recital of Eleonora Nitti & Emanuele Balsamo, where the voice becomes a narrative.
The excellence of Apulian pianism: Leonardo Colafelice, Cristina Di Lecce, and jazz musician Alessandro Sgobbio.
The extraordinary Sicilian pianist Cinzia Dato.
Excursions between genres with:
– Leo Caligiuri (jazz)
– Roberto Esposito & Giada Capraro (songwriting and improvisation)
– Alessandro Sgobbio & Senny Camara, in a dialogue between piano and Kora, a string instrument from West Africa.
