FESTA DELLA MIETITURA E TREBBIATURA DEL GRANO
There are traditions that cannot be forgotten. There are gestures, scents, and sounds that tell the story of our land.

The Cocolicchio Cultural Association, with the patronage of the Municipality of Fasano and the GAL Valle d'Itria, invites you to experience an authentic event with the Wheat Harvest and Threshing Festival.

📅 Saturday, August 1 and Sunday, August 2
📍 Cocolicchio District – Fasano (BR)
🎟 Free entry

For two evenings, the countryside will come alive as it once did: hand harvesting, traditional threshing, vintage tractors, ancient farming tools, the scents of bread, oil, and friselle, folk music and the dances that have accompanied entire generations.

- On Saturday, we will start with the conference "A Thread of Oil, Friselle and Surroundings," a moment dedicated to the culture of extra virgin oil and the products of our land, followed by tastings and the grand re-enactment of the harvest.

- Sunday will be a day full of activities: games for young and old, a fun competition with round bales, new demonstrations of ancient grain processing, and at 9:00 PM, a show that will leave everyone breathless thanks to the extraordinary participation of the Scuderia Olimpo from Alberobello, featuring magnificent horses in traditional costumes.

It will be a festival designed for families, for those who love their roots, and for those who wish to rediscover the beauty of peasant culture through emotions, flavors, and traditions.

We look forward to sharing two days of history, conviviality, and pride for our territory together.
