On Sunday, November 23, starting at 8:30 PM (doors open at 8:00 PM), the concert-event "Words Wanted" will be held at the "Dr. Di Gregorio" Hall at the Circolo Unione in Bisceglie (BT), organized by the AlterAzioni Association (BT).

The concert is part of the project "Pink Is Not My Color," a mini-series of traveling concerts dedicated to women and gender equality. It was one of the projects accepted for regional funding under the call "Futura. Apulia for Gender Equality – 3rd edition."

Ranked 14th out of 28 in the Regional Ranking with a score of 58/66 out of a total of 109 applications, the project honored the association AlterAzioni, which is the only association from Bisceglie present in the mentioned ranking.

The program includes three concerts, two of which are in Bisceglie. The first concert was already held on September 22, dedicated to composers of the past and present. The second concert took place on November 2 in Minervino Murge, and the third concert in Bisceglie will feature original music by the composer Elena Maiullari. The series will conclude on November 25 with a series of concert-lessons at the "Tattoli-De Gasperi" Comprehensive Institute in Corato.

The project aims to highlight and rediscover, through the socio-cultural context in which they lived, authors of undeniable artistic value who have been forgotten for years. It also features contemporary composers on this occasion.

The initiative is not only about music but also poetry and science. The first two events featured guests from the Apulian poetry scene, Maria Teresa Bari, who was already applauded in Bisceglie, and Lucia Diomede, who appeared in Minervino Murge. For the third event, the spotlight will be on science with Dr. Antonella Sgaramella, a former teacher at the "L.Da Vinci" Scientific High School in Bisceglie, currently serving at the International School in Varese. She has been organizing educational and research activities in collaboration with the International Space Station for years.

Dr. Sgaramella will present a short initial talk in which she will share her experience as a scholar and educator.

The "Words Wanted" Concert-Event will feature performances by the AlterSinfonietta Ensemble conducted by Maestro Vito Liturri and Soprano Marilena Gaudio. Works by composer Elena Maiullari will be performed, and she will also participate as a reciting voice.
