OPEN CALL // BANDO sez. cinema FILM IN RESIDENZA scadenza 13 luglio 2014 ALTO FEST 2014 IV edizione in collaborazione con NAPOLI FILM FESTIVAL 2014 XVI edizione Alto Fest 2014 in collaborazione con il Napoli Film Festival, indicono un concorso per 3 o 5 filmmakers in residenza. ALTO FEST, ideato e diretto da TeatrInGestAzione, è Festival Internazionale di Arti Performative e Interventi Trasversali che si svolge negli spazi domestici e privati donati dalla cittadinanza. Esso intende sensibilizzare il territorio alla rinascita culturale, impegnando i cittadini in prima persona, invitandoli ad aprire agli artisti e al pubblico l'intimità delle loro case, la quotidianità del posto di lavoro, la memoria delle cantine, diventando promotori diretti di una cultura attiva fatta negli spazi privati, (appartamenti, terrazzi, cortili, condomini, laboratori artigianali…) per DARE LUOGO a una riqualificazione umana/urbana. Un processo svolto attraverso la sperimentazione di poetiche innovative, che ambiscono a coinvolgere, assieme ai luoghi, il sistema di relazioni che questi luoghi ospitano. Il Festival s’inserisce così nel tessuto urbano più intimo riuscendo a creare un incontro reale tra cittadini e artisti, puntando sull’innovazione estetica, per noi presupposto indispensabile per costruire una relazione nuova fra cultura e contesto sociale. Alto Fest s’interroga in maniera radicale sulla necessità di ridisegnare la relazione con i luoghi, di sovvertire l’uso di spazi e l'attribuzione fissa di ruoli, di osare sconfinamenti (di genere, di disciplina, di competenza, d'azione) mai tentati; e invita gli artisti ad entrare in dialogo con questa riflessione, per declinare una propria definizione del concetto di “riqualificazione” riferibile al proprio progetto artistico. Il NAPOLI FILM FESTIVAL è un festival cinematografico nato nel 1996 ad opera dell’Associazione Culturale Napolicinema. L’obiettivo primario era quello di promuovere la crescita culturale in una città e, più in generale, in un area del Paese, il Mezzogiorno - storicamente povera di grandi eventi culturali – attraverso la conoscenza, il confronto e l’interscambio culturale del “Cinema” internazionale. A CHI SI RIVOLGE Il nostro invito è rivolto a filmmakers e video-artisti italiani e stranieri, che perseguano estetiche innovative, e nutrano visioni trasversali del proprio modo di operare. COME FUNZIONA Alto Fest mette a bando da 3 a 5 residenze, per la creazione e la proiezione di un’opera filmica, della durata minima di 10 minuti, ambientata esclusivamente in uno dei luoghi del festival. Il contenuto e il formato, sono liberi. Le opere saranno sviluppate e completate durante la residenza creativa - 13/21 settembre 2014 - e consegnate entro il 22 settembre 2014, per essere poi inserite nella programmazione di Alto Fest IV ed. - 23/28 settembre 2014 - e proiettate nel luogo stesso della residenza. Le opere saranno inoltre presentate in apertura del Napoli Film Festival 2014 e concorreranno di diritto alla selezione delle migliori opere che comporranno il programma di 41esimo Parallelo, lo spin off statunitense del Napoli Film Festival che si svolge in autunno a New York. Le opere saranno altresì segnalate ai festival che fanno parte del CFCC - Coordinamento Festival Cinematografici Campania. Alto Fest offre agli artisti selezionati - lo spazio domestico di residenza; - la cura delle relazioni tra artisti e donatori di spazi; - il sostegno promozionale all'opera attraverso tutti i canali informativi del festival; - l'alloggio gratuito in un contesto domestico, presso la Rete Ospitale formata da cittadini, amici e sostenitori; - una lettera d’invito ufficiale agli artisti stranieri e a chi abbia la possibilità di chiedere una copertura dei costi di viaggio (non coperti dal festival), attraverso le istituzioni culturali dei propri paesi, e/o risorse alternative che necessitano di comprovato invito. La strumentazione e i mezzi tecnici sono a carico degli artisti selezionati. Non è previsto il sostegno a tutto ciò che non sia esplicitamente espresso in questo bando. Il Napoli Film Festival metterà a disposizione un servizio di consulenza e soccorso tecnico, laddove ce ne sia bisogno, nei limiti delle proprie possibilità; e un alloggiamento delle attrezzature presso i propri locali. ALTO FEST , conceived and directed by TeatrInGestAzione , is the International Festival of Performing Arts and Cross Interventions which takes place in domestic and private spaces donated by citizens. It aims to raise awareness of the territory to cultural renaissance , engaging citizens personally. They are asked to open to artists and audience the intimacy of their houses , their everyday workplace , the memory of the wineries, becoming promoters of a direct active culture in private spaces (apartments, terraces , patios , condos , shops ...) to GIVE SPACE TO A HUMAN/URBAN requalification. A process carried out by experimenting with innovative poetic , that aim to engage, together with the places, the system of relations that these places host. The Festival is inserted in the urban innermost creating a real encounter between citizens and artists, focusing on innovation aesthetics , the essential requirement , for us , to build a new relationship between culture and social context. Alto Fest questions about the need to radically reshape the relationship with the places , to subvert the use of space and allocation of fixed roles , daring incursions ( gender , discipline, responsibility , action ) never tempted ; and invites artists to enter into dialogue with this reflection, to decline its own definition of the concept of " regeneration " referring to his artistic project . The Napolifilmfestival is a film festival founded in 1996 by the Associazione Culturale Napolicinema. The primary objective was to promote cultural growth in a city and, more generally, in an area of the country, the South - historically poor in major cultural events - through knowledge, discussion and cultural exchange of international cinema . WHO IS IT FOR? Our invitation is open to filmmakers and video artists, both Italian and foreigners , pursuing innovative aesthetics , and nourishing cross visions of the way they create their own works. HOW IT WORKS Alto Fest offers from 3 to 5 residencies , for the creation and projection of a filmic work , minimum duration of 10 minutes, set exclusively in one of the places where the festival will be hosted. The content and format are free . The works will be developed and completed during a creative residency September 13 / 21 - 2014; and delivered by September 22 - 2014 . The works will be before being inserted into the program of Alto Fest IV ed. – September 23 / 28 - 2014; and casted in the same place of residency. The works will also be presented at the opening of the Napoli Film Festival in 2014 and will compete for the selection of the best works that will be inserted in the program of the 41esimo Parallelo , the spin-off of the U.S. Napoli Film Festival New York, in fall. The works will also be reported to the festivals that are part of CFCC – Coordinamento Festival Cinematografici Campania (Coordination of Campania Film Festivals) Alto Fest gives artists selected : - The domestic space of residence; - Care of the relationships between artists and spaces donors ; - Support for promotional work through all the information channels of the festival ; - Free accommodation in a domestic context , at the Network Hospitable formed by citizens , friends and supporters ; - An official letter of invitation to foreign artists and to anyone who has the opportunity to request a cover travel costs (not covered by the festival ) , through the cultural institutions of their own countries and / or alternative resources that need proven invitation. The instrumentation and technical equipments are responsibility of the selected artists . There is no support for anything that is not explicitly expressed in this announcement. Napoli Film Festival will provide an advisory service and technical rescue , where it is needed , within the limits of their possibilities ; and a housing of the equipment in their private spaces .
